Resumo: The air transport stands out as one of the safest and fast logistics operations. So, knowing the details of its operation is important for managers in decision making. This article aims to evaluate the evolution of the company's air cargo handling LATAM at the airport of Natal (SBSG) analyzing the period from 2017 to 2018. The methodology used was an exploratory, descriptive, documentary and bibliographical research with the sample delimited from the months January to April, of the years 2017/2018 and data source from reports of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The results showed that most of the cargo shipped by the company is for the Southeast region, where the most of the industries and companies are settled, as well as a positive evolution in the values of the goods transported in the year 2018 related to the same period of 2017; finally, the North and South regions presented the lowest volume of cargo from the airport of Natal.

Por isso, conhecer os detalhes da sua operacionalização é importante para os gestores na tomada de decisão. Este artigo tem como objetivo avaliar a evolução da movimentação de cargas aéreas da empresa LATAM no aeroporto de Natal (SBSG) analisando o período de 2017 e 2018. A metodologia utilizada foi uma pesquisa exploratória, descritiva, documental e bibliográfica com a amostra delimitada nos meses de janeiro a abril de 2017/2018 e fonte de dados nos relatórios da Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC).
