Resumo: | This article is about the importance and the possible contributions of Specialized Educational Care Room (SECR) in the teaching-learning process of people with disabilities or other special educational needs. Sought, therefore, in the context of special education talk about the history of inclusive education, emphasizing pedagogical aspects about learning, socialization and interaction of students in regular education room. In the methodological path used an exploratory research and interview with a professional, which developed in the SECR activities with the target audience of special education, in a school, located in a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte, with the purpose of subsidizing the collection and analysis of data. Research and development of the construction of this text dialogues with Baptista (2011), Bueno (1999), Garcia (2011) and other researchers on the topic in question. It had been noted that special education with a proposal inclusive is able to contribute with education professionals to form individuals who can act in society as consciously human, considering that the teaching and learning cannot be based only on the statement that the teacher gives to students, but in the construction of knowledge by the student and the development of new skills. In that sense, it had been noted that there is a long way to go towards the establishment of an inclusive education system. |

In that sense, it had been noted that there is a long way to go towards the establishment of an inclusive education system.O presente artigo trata sobre a importância e as possíveis contribuições da sala de Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de pessoas com deficiência ou com outras necessidades educacionais especiais. Buscou-se, portanto, num contexto de Educação Especial discorrer sobre o percurso histórico da educação inclusiva, ressaltando-se aspectos pedagógicos sobre aprendizado, socialização e interação de alunos na sala de ensino regular. No percurso metodológico utilizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória e de entrevista com um profissional, que desenvolvia atividades no AEE com o público-alvo da Educação Especial, em uma escola, localizada num município do Rio Grande do Norte, com fins de subsidiar a coleta e análise de dados. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa e da construção desse texto dialogou-se com Baptista (2011), Bueno (1999), Garcia (2011) e outros pesquisadores sobre o tema em questão. Constatou-se que a Educação Especial com uma proposta inclusiva é capaz de contribuir com os profissionais da educação para formarem indivíduos que possam atuar na sociedade de forma consciente e humana, tendo em vista que o ensino e a aprendizagem não podem ser baseados apenas na instrução que o professor transmite para aluno, mas na construção do conhecimento pelo aluno e o desenvolvimento de novas competências.
