Resumo: The employee satisfaction is an important factor for increased efficiency and productivity of the organization, especially in public, where there is stability. Furthermore, cultural aspects in tertiary institution may be important for the institution's performance. The Amazon environment is largely unexplored in this sense the study becomes even more relevant. This study can be characterized as descriptive and quantitative, which was administered to employees of a public tertiary institution, with 108 respondents, 106 of these valid. The survey identifies which employees are satisfied with the work itself, but showed considerable satisfaction with superiors and colleagues. The dissatisfaction is observed with regard to recognition, working conditions, compensation, and finally with the benefits, women perceive the organization's culture market, and people at higher levels of organizations and those with less time organizing.
