BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS: READING PRACTICE FOR CRITICAL FORMATION IN A STATE SCHOOL

Resumo: This paper presents and analyzes manifestations of high school students during reading practices of literary texts aimed at critical formation. The data consist of transcriptions of the speeches of second-year students produced in practices developed in a state school. Based on these data, the theoretical discussion elucidates the role of literature for critical formation from the authors’ perspective Cândido (2004) and Cosson (2016) and also from the guidelines of the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC) (BRASIL, 2018). The discursive productions in contemporary society, in turn, are discussed from the Bakhtinian conception of discourse. The results reflect connections between the students and the works read and that, in the practices, literature, and discursive productions are possibilities for social action.

Os dados se constituem de transcrições de falas de alunos do segundo ano, produzidas em práticas desenvolvidas em escola estadual. A discussão teórica elucida, a partir desses dados, o papel da literatura para a formação crítica, à luz de autores como Cândido (2004) e Cosson (2016) e das orientações da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) (BRASIL, 2018). As produções discursivas na sociedade contemporânea, por sua vez, são lidas a partir da concepção de discurso bakhtiniana.
