Mal estar docente e condições de trabalho: identificação de problemas e estratégias de enfrentamento

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to reflect on how working conditions affect teachers' health. Therefore, the following question was asked: how do teachers who work in the municipal education system of Feira de Santana perceive the influence of working conditions on their health? The objective was to analyze the teachers' perspective on their working conditions and their influence on the perception of health. It was a qualitative research. The semi-structured interview was adopted as a data production instrument. The subjects were four professors, pedagogues, with public examinations. In the results, it was concluded that the teachers mentioned situations that impact on the perception of health, since the teaching work involves multiple interactions, with students, family members, co-workers, school management and the municipal secretariat. Decisions taken by managers of municipal, state and federal administration directly interfere in the social and economic (de)valuation of work and teaching workers. The consequences of such decisions demand individual actions and attitudes from teachers to find ways to cope, resist and also actions as a category to demand improvements, institutional actions, to reduce situations that impact the perception of health/disease and that can contribute to the feeling of malaise.

Diante disso questionou-se: como os professores que atuam na rede municipal de ensino de Feira de Santana percebem a influência das condições de trabalho em sua saúde? O objetivo foi analisar a perspectiva dos professores acerca das suas condições de trabalho e a influência destas na percepção de saúde. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa. Adotou-se a entrevista semiestruturada como instrumento de produção de dados. Os sujeitos foram quatro docentes, pedagogos, concursados. Nos resultados concluiu-se que os professores referiram situações que impactam na percepção de saúde, uma vez que o trabalho docente envolve múltiplas interações, com estudantes, familiares, colegas de trabalho, gestão escolar e secretaria municipal. Decisões tomadas por gestores da administração municipal, estadual e federal interferem diretamente na (des)valorização social e econômica do trabalho e do trabalhador docente.
