The purpose of this article is to reflect on the role of working conditions on teacher health. Therefore, the following question was asked: how do teachers who work in the municipal education network of Feira de Santana perceive the influence of working conditions on their health? The objective was to analyze the teachers' perspective on their working conditions and their influence on the perception of health. It was a qualitative research. The semistructured interview was adopted as a data production instrument. The subjects were four professors, pedagogues and civil servants. In the results, it was concluded that there are situations, in the work environment, that impact, directly and indirectly, on the perception of health of teachers, since the teaching work involves multiple interactions with students, family members, co-workers, school management and municipal secretariat of Education. Decisions taken by managers of municipal, state and federal administration directly interfere in the socioeconomic (de)valuation of work and teaching workers. The consequences of such decisions demand individual and collective actions and attitudes, on the part of teachers, in order to demand improvements, institutional actions, and the reduction of situations that impact the perception of health/disease and that can contribute to the feeling of malaise.
