This research presents a discussion about the informational behavior of the students of the course of Librarianship and Documentation of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in the access and use of information in digital environments. In this sense, the objective of this work was to analyze the digital informational behavior and the difficulties of the students of the distance learning Librarianship course of UFS in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The methodology used to develop this study was exploratory and descriptive research, supported by the qualitative approach. The procedure used was the case study and data collection was carried out through the application of a digital questionnaire, developed through Google Forms. In addition, the informational behavior model of Wilson (1999, 2000) was used in order to analyze how the search and access to information occurs, what the needs and difficulties of students in this process are. As a result, it was noticed that the students' digital informational behavior interferes directly in their learning, mainly due to the students' lack of technological skills. Finally, it was concluded that the development of informational competence in digital environments is essential for students to access and use information efficiently and effectively for the benefit of their learning, especially when education is conducted in the distance learning modality.
