Qualidade de vida e estresse em graduandos de enfermagem : influência do método de ensino-aprendizagem

Resumo: | Objective: to evaluate if the method of teaching learning influences the perception of quality of life and stress of the nursing academics of a federal university. Method: cross-sectional observational study with a descriptive and quantitative approach; sample composed of 243 nursing students from two campuses of the Federal University of Sergipe, data collected between October 2017 and February 2018, through a questionnaire containing items for socioeconomic characterization, academic and life habits, and the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) and the Perceived Strees Scale (PSS-10), respectively, to assess the quality of life and perceived stress. The statistical difference between the variables was tested using the Pearson chi-square test and Fisher's exact test; the association between the variables was determined by the T and ANOVA tests, with the significance levels established in values lower than 0.05; the Pearson correlation was used to determine the correlation between the WHOQOL-bref domains and the PSS. Results: graduates of the active method presented higher quality of life in the psychological, social, environmental and global QOL domains. There was no difference in the perception of the stress among students of the campus with active and traditional method. There was a negative correlation between the WHOQOL-bref domains and the PSS. Conclusion: characteristics of teaching-learning methods are associated with a better perception of QoL among students of the active method. |

Método: estudo observacional de corte transversal com abordagem descritiva e quantitativa; amostra composta por 243 acadêmicos de enfermagem de dois campi da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, dados coletados entre outubro de 2017 e fevereiro de 2018, por meio de um questionário contendo itens para caracterização socioeconômica, acadêmica e hábitos de vida, e os instrumentos World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) e a Perceived Strees Scale (PSS-10), para avaliação da qualidade de vida e da percepção de estresse dos estudantes, respectivamente. A diferença estatística entre as variáveis foi testada por meio dos testes qui-quadrado de Pearson e Exato de Fisher; a associação entre as variáveis foi determinada pelos testes T e ANOVA, com os níveis de significância estabelecidos em valores menores que 0,05; a correlação de Pearson foi usada para determinar a correlação entre os domínios do WHOQOL-bref e a PSS. Resultados: graduandos do método ativo apresentaram qualidade de vida superior nos domínios psicológico, social, ambiental e QV global. Não houve diferença na percepção do estresse entre os alunos do campus com método ativo e tradicional. Houve correlação negativa entre os domínios do WHOQOL-bref e a PSS.
