Resumo: The current environmental crisis has been the subject of discussion in all segments that make up the social organization of the planet under a range of epistemological paradigms. In academia, the summit on environmental education is appointed as a possibility for overcoming this crisis. In the sense, the curricular environmental dimension should provide a sense in which there is a concatenation between what is stated in the curriculum between what is understood and taught by the teacher and between what is apprehended by the student. Therefore, the relationship between the curriculum and the teacher’s pedagogic practice will result in a social praxis that sees a humanized and meaningful learning that seeks to overcome the rationality and exploitation of knowledge. This time, this writing is scoped to assess the environmental dimension of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Sergipe and evaluate to what extent it is possible to promote a curriculum greening in that course. Anchored in the qualitative approach, the study was supported by the analysis of the curriculum of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Sergipe, held to technical content analysis. Thus, the research sought to contribute to the debate regarding the critical environmental education.

No âmbito acadêmico, o vértice relativo à educação ambiental é apontado como uma possibilidade para a superação dessa crise. Nesse sentido, a dimensão ambiental curricular deve contemplar uma percepção na qual haja uma concatenação entre o que está expresso no currículo, entre o que é entendido e ensinado pelo docente e entre o que é apreendido pelo aluno. Diante disso, a articulação entre o currículo e a prática pedagógica do professor resultará em uma práxis social que vislumbra uma aprendizagem humanizada e significativa que busca a superação da racionalidade e da instrumentalização do saber. Desta feita, o presente escrito tem como escopo avaliar a dimensão ambiental do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal de Sergipe e avaliar em que medida é possível promover uma ambientalização curricular no referido curso. Ancorado na abordagem qualitativa, o estudo fora subsidiado pela análise da estrutura curricular do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, realizada à luz da técnica da análise de conteúdo.
