The current environmental crisis has been the subject of discussion in all segments that make up the social organization of the planet under a range of epistemological paradigms. In academia, the summit on environmental education is appointed as a possibility for overcoming this crisis. In the sense, the curricular environmental dimension should provide a sense in which there is a concatenation between what is stated in the curriculum between what is understood and taught by the teacher and between what is apprehended by the student. Therefore, the relationship between the curriculum and the teacher’s pedagogic practice will result in a social praxis that sees a humanized and meaningful learning that seeks to overcome the rationality and exploitation of knowledge. This time, this writing is scoped to assess the environmental dimension of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Sergipe and evaluate to what extent it is possible to promote a curriculum greening in that course. Anchored in the qualitative approach, the study was supported by the analysis of the curriculum of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Sergipe, held to technical content analysis. Thus, the research sought to contribute to the debate regarding the critical environmental education.
