“Do direito à cidade”: contribuições para o debate educacional

Resumo: The article, of bibliographical nature, puts into discussion the right to the city and inserts itself into the debate of the educating city. It is based on educational theorists, in dialogue with authors from the area of geography, plus the contributions of Henri Lefebvre on "The Right to the City" (LEFEBRVE, 2011). The methodology adopted is the systematic literature review to identify articles about the theme that is available in the Capes Periodicals Portal. Twenty-nine articles were identified and discussed that reaffirm the perspective of the right to the city associated with other rights, such as education, health, accessibility, and urbanization. Articles are presented that relate the right to the city to more school time, enhancing places that can become educational territories. The conclusion is that there is a need to implement public policies aimed at citizen education in an educating city. Finally, it is proposed that the school, as a space of education for all, can be a channel for the deepening of debates in order to raise awareness about the guarantee of rights that each citizen has, personally and collectively.

Apoia-se em teóricos da educação, em diálogo com autores da área da geografia, acrescido das contribuições de Henri Lefebvre sobre “O direito à cidade” (LEFEBRVE, 2011). A metodologia adotada é a revisão sistemática de literatura com vistas a identificar artigos sobre a temática e que se encontram disponíveis no Portal de Periódicos da Capes. Foram identificados e discutidos 29 artigos que reafirmam a perspectiva do direito à cidade associada a outros direitos, como educação, saúde, acessibilidade, urbanização. Apresentam-se artigos que relacionam o direito à cidade ao mais tempo de escola, potenciando lugares que podem se tornar territórios educativos. Conclui-se pela necessidade de implementação de políticas públicas com vistas à educação cidadã em uma cidade educadora.
