Resumo: Retinyl, derived from vitamin A, is a cosmetic active substance widely used in antiaging skin 52 treatment. Thus, the objective of this work was to obtain lipid nanoparticles (NL) containing retinol 53 acetate for cosmetic use. NL were obtained by the solvent diffusion method in the aqueous phase, 54 using only beeswax as a lipid matrix (NLS) or incorporating squalene as liquid lipid (CLN). The 55 particle size, polydispersity index, zeta potential and encapsulation efficiency of the samples were 56 determined. The in vitro release study was also performed using Franz type diffusion cells. As 57 results, all samples had a nanometric size between 143 and 774 nm, maximum IPD of 0.340 and 58 elevated PZ. The EE obtained was 99.95% and 100% for the NL obtained. The NL were able to 59 efficiently incorporate the retinol acetate. Carriers containing squalene in the lipid matrix presented 60 better results, with smaller size and more uniform size distribution, besides a PZ above 30 | mV. 61 These carriers had a sustained release profile during the study period. Thus, we conclude that under 62 the conditions employed and evaluated, CLNs have been shown to be more promising formulations 63 for the delivery of the active than NLS.

Desta forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi obter nanopartículas lipídicas 29 (NL) contendo acetato de retinol para uso cosmético. As NL foram obtidas através do método de 30 difusão de solvente em fase aquosa, utilizando apenas cera de abelha como matriz lipídica (NLS) ou 31 incorporar esqualeno como lipídio líquido (CLN). O tamanho das partículas, índice de 32 polidispersividade , potencial zeta e eficiência de encapsulação das amostras foram determinados. O 33 estudo de liberação in vitro foi também realizado utilizando células de difusão tipo Franz. Como 34 resultados, todas as amostras apresentaram tamanho nanométrico entre 143 e 774 nm, IPD máximo 35 de 0,340 e PZ elevado. A EE obtida foi de 99,95% e 100% para as NL obtidas.As NL foram 36 capazes de incorporar eficientemente o acetato de retinol. Carreadores contendo esqualeno na 37 matriz lipídica apresentaram melhores resultados, com tamanho menor e distribuição de tamanho 38 mais uniforme, além de um PZ acima de |30| mV. Estes carreadores apresentaram perfil de 39 liberação sustentada durante o período estudado.
