Resumo: Health in Brazil is guaranteed by the Brazilian Constitution and may be public or private. A private health insurance plan is the service offered by a private company that encompasses a network of medical care and procedures. The present work seeks to measure the time spent by the user in the health plan using survival analysis. A database of 47 individuals from a censored health plan was used. Non-parametric survival models were used in the analysis, namely the Kaplan-Meier estimator and the Nelson-Aalen estimator. In the obtained results the survival functions were constructed for the users of this health plan. For 21 months, for example, the probability of remaining in the plan using the KaplanMeier estimator is 48.94. For Nelson-Aalen's estimator, the probability of staying in the plan was 50%, thus showing very similar results.

Um plano de saúde, presente no âmbito privado, é o serviço oferecido por uma empresa privada que engloba uma rede de atendimentos com médicos e procedimentos. O presente trabalho busca mensurar o tempo de permanência do usuário no plano de saúde utilizando análise de sobrevivência. Utilizou-se um banco de dados com 47 indivíduos de um plano de saúde com presença de censuras, na análise foram utilizados modelos de sobrevivência não paramétricos, mais precisamente o estimador de Kaplan-Meier e o estimador de Nelson-Aalen. Nos resultados obtidos foram construídas as funções de sobrevivência para os usuários desse plano de saúde. Para 21 meses, por exemplo, a probabilidade de permanecer no plano utilizando o estimador de Kaplan-Meier é 48,94.
