Educação de jovens, adultos e idosos sob o olhar dos professores: percepções, reflexões e desafios do cotidiano pedagógico

Resumo: | This article presents the reflections of teachers in the Youth, Adult and Elderly Education sector on relevant issues that affect their practice. To this end, the aim was to understand the perception of teachers of Youth, Adult and Elderly Education in five municipalities in the countryside of Bahia regarding the challenges they face and the reality they experience in their daily teaching routine. In terms of methodology the research is characterized by a qualitative approach, with Youth, Adult and Elderly Education teachers from the municipalities involved as collaborators and the data produced through semi-structured interviews. Priority was given to the theoretical contributions of Freire (2005) and Arroyo (2005). The results reveal a wide range of challenges, such as dropouts, insufficient teaching materials, transportation, continuing education, as well as the challenges of practices aimed at taking into account the particularities of the students. The narratives and data presented here constitute a complaint against an education that has been [and continues to be] forged as inferior and invisible, which has historically occupied and continues to occupy a non-place. These issues need to be debated and problematized in order to find coping strategies with effective interventions that promote overcoming the challenges posed. |

Para tanto, delimitou-se como objetivo compreender a percepção dos professores da Educação de Jovens, Adultos e Idosos de cinco municípios do interior da Bahia quanto aos desafios enfrentados e a realidade vivenciada no cotidiano pedagógico. No âmbito metodológico, a pesquisa caracteriza-se pela abordagem qualitativa, tendo como colaboradores docentes da Educação de Jovens, Adultos e Idosos dos municípios contemplados e os dados produzidos por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Priorizou-se o aporte teórico de Freire (2005), Arroyo (2005) e Oliveira (2015). Os resultados revelam desafios dos mais diversos, como a evasão, insuficiência de materiais didático-pedagógicos, transporte, formação continuada, além dos desafios das práticas no intuito de contemplar as particularidades dos estudantes. As narrativas e dados aqui expostos se constituem como um grito de denúncia de uma Educação que foi [e continua sendo] forjada como inferior e invisibilizada, que ocupou historicamente e continua ocupando um não lugar.
