The power of political and economic domination of traditional families is supported by the insertion of their members in representative positions in the legislative or executive, as well as by the political alliances that take place around groups that are perpetuated in the elective mandates. Among the characteristics of this domination are the patrimonialist practices of private use of public property, which feeds a culture of favor and makes the population hostage. In Sergipe, the Franco family owns a vast expanse of land, controls the means of communication and economic activities in industry and commerce. The concentration of land, added to the political hegemony and control of the State (public machine) grant the Franco family high economic power (mastery of the means of production), with spatial repercussions in the countryside and in the city. This research aimed to analyze the spatial dimension of the political and economic influence of the Franco family in Sergipe, notably in the cities Riachuelo, Laranjeiras, Areia Branca, Itaporanga D' Ajuda, São Cristóvão, Aracaju, Barra dos Coqueiros and Nossa Senhora do Socorro, as it is of an area under strong intervention by this family, in terms of territorial domain and political and business influence, preponderant factors in the (re)production of space. The method of interpretation was dialectical historical materialism, as it allowed the reality investigated in its determinations to show the content of political relations and the materialities that are inscribed in space, revealing the power and domination exercised in the state of Sergipe. As methodological procedures, field research was an important resource to provide the empirical foundations of the research through data collection on land ownership, family productive activities, interviews with workers, political leaders and communities in the municipalities of the study area. Secondary data were researched on official websites such as INCRA, IBGE, as well as a technical visit to the Board of Trade to survey family enterprises. The research revealed that the ownership of land, the means of communication and the control of economic activities are constituents of the political domination and power of groups in the political command of the executive and the legislative in different scales.
