Mídia, corpo e mercado: (im)possibilidades formativas diante do poder simbólico

Resumo: | In this study we focus on the media discourse and its strategies in the face of an increasingly intense market regarding the body archetypes that have gained prominence in modernity. The essay outlines a critical reflection about the influence of the media on the worship of the body, whether by the image or by the explicit and implicit discourse of what has been characterized as the „perfect body‟' nowadays, which we can infer as the way through which the symbolic power acts on people‟s subjectivity and generates a demand from the subjects to the personalized, exclusive and specific products, offered as „miraculous‟ by the media market. In a society increasingly shaped by media discourses, we understand that the possibility of confrontation lies partly in the human formation that takes place in school mediation (its set of knowledge). When we consider the field of teacher training, we believe that an approach that allows the critical reading of these mechanisms is increasingly necessary, highlighting the relevance of media-education to a society in search for the clarification that needs to be confronted with a certain discursive domination and mediamarket. Our objective was to analyze, with the discussion about the cultural industry and the symbolic power, some mechanisms that make these representations about the body in the contemporaneity be demarcated in an intense way with market goals. In addition, we present some examples of research that have already been conducted, in which we identify possible formative and methodological strategies in which the principle of autonomy and enlightenment can occur, implying possibilities for school mediation, especially for those who deal with human formation.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

El ensayo esboza una reflexión crítica de la influencia de los medios en cuanto al culto al cuerpo, sea por la imagen, sea por el discurso, explícito e implícito, de lo que se ha caracterizado como „cuerpo perfecto‟ en la actualidad, que podemos inferir como la forma del poder simbólico actuar en las subjetividades y generar una demanda de los sujetos a los productos personalizados, exclusivos y específicos, ofrecidos como „milagrosos‟ por el mercado de los medios. En una sociedad cada vez más formateada por los discursos mediáticos, entendemos que la posibilidad de enfrentamiento se encuentra, en parte, en la formación humana que se realiza en la mediación escolar (su conjunto de conocimientos). Cuando consideramos el campo de la formación de profesores, entendemos que es cada vez más necesario un enfoque que permita la lectura crítica de esos mecanismos, evidenciando la relevancia de los medios-educación para una sociedad en busca del esclarecimiento que necesita confrontarse con cierta dominación discursiva y mercadológica de los medios. Nuestro objetivo fue analizar, con la discusión sobre la industria cultural y el poder simbólico, algunos mecanismos que hacen que esas representaciones sobre el cuerpo en la contemporaneidad sean demarcadas de manera intensa con fines mercadológicos; además, presentamos algunas ejemplificaciones de investigaciones ya realizadas, en que identificamos posibles estrategias formativas y metodológicas en que el principio para la autonomía y para el esclarecimiento pueda ocurrir, implicando posibilidades de mediación escolar, principalmente a aquellos que se ocupan de la formación humana.Neste estudo, focamos o discurso midiático e suas estratégias, diante de um mercado cada vez mais intenso, acerca dos arquétipos corporais que têm ganhado destaque na modernidade. O ensaio esboça uma reflexão crítica sobre a influência da mídia no tocante ao culto ao corpo, seja pela imagem, seja pelo discurso, explícito e implícito, daquilo que tem se caracterizado como ‘corpo perfeito’ na atualidade, que podemos inferir como a forma do poder simbólico atuar nas subjetividades e gerar uma demanda dos sujeitos aos produtos personalizados, exclusivos e específicos, ofertados como ‘milagrosos’ pelo mercado da mídia. Numa sociedade cada vez mais formatada pelos discursos midiáticos, entendemos que a possibilidade de enfrentamento se encontra, em parte, na formação humana que se realiza com a mediação escolar (seu conjunto de conhecimentos). Quando consideramos o campo da formação de professores, entendemos ser cada vez mais necessária uma abordagem que permita a leitura crítica desses mecanismos, evidenciando a relevância da mídia-educação para uma sociedade em busca do esclarecimento, que precisa se confrontar com certa dominação discursiva e mercadológica da mídia.
