Resumo: This study was carried out in a rural school belonging to the municipal education network in the City of Cáceres, Mato Grosso. The research aimed to understand how a rural and frontier school provides specialized educational services for a student with multiple disabilities. Thus, the following research question was raised: “What are the challenges and possibilities of the Jaçanã Municipal School during the AEE of a student with multiple disabilities?? To support the discussion, subsidies were sought in Public Policies for Inclusive Education (UNESCO, 1990, 1994; BRASIL, 1988, 1993, 1996, 1999); field education theorists (CAIADO 2003); MELO JUNIOR et al, 2018) and authors who discuss Inclusive Education (PAEZ, 2001; SILVEIRA and NEVES, 2006), among others. It is configured as an exploratory study with a qualitative approach that used semi-structured interviews for data collection. The results showed some ambiguities in the field of Inclusive Education, regarding the right, access and permanence of students with disabilities, since the analyzed institution does not, in fact, offer an effective inclusive education.

A pesquisa objetivou compreender como uma escola do campo e de fronteira realiza o atendimento educacional especializado para um aluno com deficiências múltiplas. Desse modo, levantou-se a seguinte questão de pesquisa: “Quais são os desafios e possibilidades da Escola Municipal Jaçanã durante o AEE de um aluno com deficiências múltiplas?? Para amparar a discussão, buscou-se subsídios nas Políticas Públicas de Educação Inclusiva (UNESCO, 1990,1994; BRASIL, 1988, 1993, 1996, 1999); teóricos da educação do campo (CAIADO 2003); MELO JUNIOR et al, 2018) e autores que discorrem sobre a Educação Inclusiva (PAEZ, 2001; SILVEIRA e NEVES, 2006), entre outros. Configura-se enquanto um estudo exploratório de abordagem qualitativa que utilizou entrevistas semiestruturadas para a coleta de dados.
