The stock has always been considered important for a company, however, has gained greater prominence in recent years. The sector responsible for storing and storing material received from suppliers is the warehouse. For a company to remain competitive before the market, it is essential to have a warehouse planned and managed in order to minimize costs and avoid waste. The present research had the objective of evaluating the stock management model of the Makai Resort warehouse, located in Grande Aracaju, former Prodigy Beach Resort & Conventions. For this, the methodology consists of an exploratory research of qualitative character that had as its strategy the case study. Data collection was done through a semistructure interview with a script containing 27 questions with contents related to the characteristics of the collaborators, purchasing process, receiving and storage, structure of the warehouse and inventory control and evaluation. The physical structure of the warehouse was considered good as well as its ventilation and lighting. The space is sufficient for the storage of the products and adequate in order to facilitate the reception of the suppliers. The purchasing process is based on weekly report and the control of the validity of the products is done manually, there is a method of coding the materials in storage. As a way of minimizing costs, optimizing time and avoiding waste and errors due to human error, it is suggested a greater integration of the sectors in the purchasing process, in order to tailor purchases based on demand forecast according to seasonality and utilization of a system to control the validity of stock products, in addition to the use of numerical coding in the storage of materials, aiming at benefits for the company and excellence in service.
