Aulas práticas no ensino de Biologia: análise da sua utilização em escolas no município de Lagarto/SE

Despite the importance of practical activities in teaching and learning of science and biology, they are still seldom used. This study aims to assess the use of practical activities in Biology teaching in schools of Lagarto, SE. Two schools were analyzed, one public and one private, where questionnaires were applied to students and science teachers. The students' responses showed a very low number of practical lessons, and although teachers find that there is interest and participation of students in such classes, and with them there is a greater understanding of the issues addressed, said they do not usually teach practical lessons. Thus, these privileged classes are not in education, and ignore this reality does not contribute to the change, which should be initiated already during the training of teachers, as well as the physical structure and curriculum of schools.
