Resumo: This article aims at presenting the results, although preliminary, of a study that aimed to analyze the trajectory of educator Jorge Carvalho do Nascimento, inserted in the discussions on the History of Education in Sergipe. Thus, through a literature review and by the method of oral history, we highlight aspects of their personal, academic and public life, with emphasis on their training and performance in education and also as a cultural agent, writer and politician.
