Resumo: | This course completion work arose after the study of the discipline, Brazilian Sign Language-Libras, in theory, through bibliographic research. It was then, from this academic experience that the desire to research more about the world of signs, and more restrictedly, "SignWriting as writing in the literacy process of deaf children", and therefore, this work brings the existing problems in the educational development of deaf children, as well as unfolding developments of science in relation to this aspect. This project observed the evolution in the historical process of Sign Language, until the arrival of writing from this same language, LS, which is SignWriting. Thus, the general objective was to investigate the effectiveness of signwriting as an auxiliary tool in the literacy process of deaf children, in the bibliography. And as a specific objective, we sought the appropriate methodical model to develop the research and contextualize the process of regular education of the deaf individual and investigated the writing system, Signwriting, as a support for these people. Therefore, the work is a bibliographic research that had as theoretical reference the researchers: Barreto & Barreto (2015), which discusses sign writing; Quadros & Schmiedt (2006) who deal with the literacy of deaf children; Honora & Frizanco (2009) address the entire historical overview of the emergence of sign language in their illustrated book of Brazilian Sign Language. Rodrigues (2011), scientific methodology; Kumada (2016) with the book Libras-Brazilian Sign Language; Quadros (2004, Brazilian Sign Language: Linguistic Studies; Puchner (2019) The World of Writing; Copavilla & Raphael & Mauricio (2015), with the dictionary Trilingual, Novo Diet-Libras, Brazilian Sign Language. From this analysis, we could see that SignWriting is an auxiliary support, of great importance in the literacy process of deaf children. |

Foi então, a partir dessa experiência acadêmica que o desejo de pesquisar mais sobre o mundo dos sinais, e mais restritamente, “O SignWriting como escrita no processo de alfabetização de crianças surdas”, e por isso, este trabalho traz as problemáticas existentes no desenvolvimento educacional de crianças surdas, como também os desdobramentos da ciência para com essa vertente. Este projeto observou a evolução no processo histórico da Língua de Sinais, até a chegada da escrita oriunda dessa mesma língua, LS, que é o SignWriting. Desse modo, o objetivo geral foi observar a eficácia do signwriting como ferramenta auxiliadora no processo de alfabetização de crianças surdas, na bibliografia disponibilizada nas plataformas digitais. E como objetivo especifico, buscou-se a modelo metódico adequado para desenvolver a pesquisa e contextualizar o processo de educação regular do indivíduo surdo e o sistema de escrita, Signwriting, como suporte de apoio para essas pessoas. Diante disso, o trabalho trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que teve como referencial teórico os pesquisadores: Barreto & Barreto (2015), que disserta a escrita de sinais; Quadros & Schmiedt (2006) que tratam da alfabetização da criança surda; Honora & Frizanco (2009) abordam todo o apanhado histórico do surgimento da língua de sinais em seu livro ilustrado de língua brasileira de sinais. Rodrigues (2011), metodologia científica; Kumada (2016) com o livro Libras-Língua brasileira de sinais; Quadros (2004, Língua de sinais brasileira: estudos linguísticos; Puchner (2019) O mundo da escrita; Copavilla&Raphael&Mauricio (2015), com o dicionário Trilíngue, Novo DietLibras, Língua de sinais brasileira.
