The Electronic Session has become a compulsory use by the organs and entities of the Federal Public Administration. Although they follow the same rules, each body has the autonomy to apply the resources coming from the Union in the way it deems most appropriate. The objective of this study was to compare how electronic auction information is available with other bidding modalities to discover the advantages of the Federal University of Sergipe - UFS. Therefore, this research sought to identify the percentage of economics of all UFS purchasing modalities, highlighting the Pregão, object of this study. Data were extracted from the Government Purchases portal and a survey of the purchases and contracting homologated by UFS in the last 5 (five) years was carried out. To calculate the value saved by each modality, the following calculation was used: Estimated Value - Purchase Value.
