This research aimed to analyze the participation of the executive secretary in the negotiationsof an international trade company. From this, it was sought to investigate the activitiesdeveloped, the competencies that contribute to the performance, the main challenges, aswellas the role during the negotiation process. This work has a qualitative approach, descriptiveinnature, characterized as a single case study, in which we sought to focus on the participant’sexperience, in order to obtain relevant information about the theme. Astructuredinterviewwas used as an instrument for data collection, conducted with an executive secretarywhoworks as a senior international logistics analyst in an international trade companyinthestateof Minas Gerais. From the results obtained in this study, it was verified that, byseekingcontinuous training, the executive secretary achieves opportunities to act in positionsthatdirectly participate in the negotiations of international trade companies, acting in thestrategicsector of the company, performing negotiations, management and coordination of processes,as well as acting in the internal and external communication of the company regardingthebusiness in the national and international scope.
