Arquitetura em cena: o papel da arquitetura enquanto personagem da narrativa cinematográfica

Filmic architecture is an integral part of mise-en-scène and can assume different roles in films. This work aims to understand how architecture acts, as a character, in the construction of cinematic narrative. For this, the following methodological steps were carried out: theoretical research; survey of the filmography where architecture acts as a character; definition of criteria for selection of films to be analyzed; selection of films based on the established criteria and cut, and their analysis; and analysis of results. In this sense, the films that worked were Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Black Panther (2018), and Parasite (2019) and it was found that architecture as a character acts through the representation of values associated with human experiences, contributing to the construction of the cinematic narrative when communicating with the spectator through the image of architecture widely explored through the scenes and that the performance of film architecture as a character in current productions has been related to problems of contemporary society.
