Investigations in the area of events are, above all, focused on face-to-face events. However, with the covid-19 pandemic, virtual events have become a big trend and, therefore, this is an interesting field for research. In this context, the objective of this work was to analyze the participation of students of the Executive Secretariat course at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in virtual events, seeking to answer how this public is involved in the management of events of the aforementioned modality. The research was characterized as exploratory and descriptive, adopting the technique of case study and analysis under the quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection took place through a questionnaire with twenty-one questions, applied to students of the Executive Secretariat course at UFS, through Google Forms. As a result, responses were obtained from thirty-six participants. In conclusion, the data showed that most students participated in virtual events as listeners. Most of the interviewees had the experience of organizing, planning, controlling and directing events at UFS, during the period of social isolation, due to covid-19.
