Perfil de usuários/as de um ambulatório transexualizador quanto às ocupações educacionais e laborais

It is known that the transgender population historically suffers from various prejudices, violence and violations of rights due to their identity particularities, in the last two decades, the health care of transgender people has been gaining space in the structure of public policies of the Unified Health System. Occupational therapy fits as a profession that aims to guarantee occupational justice, with the purpose of enabling the social participation of different subjects. This research seeks to understand the process of access and permanence in school, and the consequent labor insertion of users of a transsexualizer outpatient clinic from the perspective of occupational justice. It is a retrospective, descriptive research with the analysis of secondary data. Data were collected from 109 users who were attended by Occupational Therapy from June 2018 to June 2022. The profile of the user outlined is configured by transgender women, under 30 years old, with a predominance of formal education up to high school, working informally and having the school as the main place of experienced stressors. Restrictions or interruptions to transgender people's school and work access still persist, since most of the individuals in this study still lacked higher levels of education. There is a certain dissonance with the reality presented in view of the assumptions of occupational justice, which defends differentiated access to opportunities and resources and participation in significant occupations of individual or collective interest, regardless of age, ability, social class or other differences.
