Resumo: The present work proposes the use of Problem-Situations, elaborated according to Meirieu's orientations, as a facilitating methodology of teaching Modern Physics subjects to High School students. As a result of the work we have the elaboration of an educational product, consisting of a didactic sequence based on electromagnetic radiation, focusing on x-rays, where this radiation is used in mammography, which is one of the most widely used methods in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The didactic sequence was applied in two classes of the 3rd grade of the High School of the Gonçalo Rollemberg Leite State School, Aracaju/SE. During the sequence application, discussions were held about the theme breast cancer, with video and animated gifs presentation, problem solving and confections of the electromagnetic spectrum. These activities provided support for a situation solution, made classes more dynamic and provided better interaction between students. For data collection, the following instruments were used: investigative questionnaire, Problem-Situation and opinion questionnaire. The collected data showed that the use of Problem Situations as a didactic tool for the teaching of physics in High School was relevant to the learning of the proposed concepts.

Como resultado do estudo temos a elaboração de um produto educacional, constituído de uma sequência didática sobre radiações eletromagnéticas, com foco nos raios X, radiação esta utilizada na mamografia, que é um dos métodos usados no diagnóstico do câncer de mama. A sequência didática foi aplicada em duas turmas da 3ª série do Ensino Médio do Colégio Estadual Gonçalo Rollemberg Leite, Aracaju/SE. Durante a aplicação da sequência foram realizadas discussões sobre o tema câncer de mama, apresentação de vídeos e gifs animados, resolução de questões e confecção do espectro eletromagnético. Estas atividades forneceram subsídios para a solução da Situação-Problema apresentada, tornaram as aulas mais dinâmicas e promoveram melhor interação entre os alunos. Para coleta de dados foram utilizados como instrumentos: questionário investigativo, Situação-Problema e questionário de opiniões.
