Resumo: | Childhood is an important phase of life where the child will learn, develop and evolve, it is through the action of play that children will understand the world and improve various aspects such as: emotional, psychomotor, social and cognitive issues. Objective: To understand the relationship between play and Occupational Therapy. Method: this is an integrative review of reading that aims to gather results and synthesize research on a given topic, contributing to the knowledge of the area in which the topic of play and Occupational Therapy refers. Results: 16 articles were reviewed, where we found 3 cores of meaning, namely: definition of play; Play assessments, tests and protocols; and play and occupational therapy. Conclusion: it indicates that we do not have a single definition of play, and several authors and articles bringing their relevant definitions, In addition to the fact that the way in which playing is used in therapy does not influence its importance and that each professional, based on the need of the patient/client, will adapt in their practice. |

Objetivo: Compreender a relação do brincar e a Terapia Ocupacional. Método: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da leitura que tem por finalidade reunir resultados e sintetizar sobre as pesquisas acerca do determinado tema, contribuindo para o conhecimento da área no qual se refere o tema brincar e a Terapia Ocupacional. Resultados: foram revisados 16 artigos, onde encontramos 3 núcleos de sentido, sendo eles: definição do brincar; Avaliações, testes e protocolos do brincar; e o brincar e a terapia ocupacional.
