Resumo: Professional education at the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology is a possibility of qualification for the population. The occupation of vacancies by women/girls is shown to be disproportionate in numbers of admission and completion of courses, making it difficult to participate in the field of industry, an area historically organized based on patriarchal elements. This research analyzes the experiences of women who graduated from the technical course of Integrated High School in Electromechanics at the Campus Lagarto of the Federal Institute of Sergipe, highlighting difficulties and advances in gender relations in professional training and in the world of work. The investigation is guided by presuppositions of historicaldialectical materialism, feminist and gender theories, focusing on categories of gender analysis, sexual division of labor and professional education. Methodologically, the research presents a qualitative character, of the 'case study' type, integrating in the analysis the general and particular, micro and macro, objective and subjective, individual and collective, academic community, institution, government policies and experiences of women who graduated from IFS - Lagarto Campus of the Integrated High School Technical Course in Electromechanics. The oral sources are part of 30 semi-structured interviews with women who graduated from the technical course in question, consisting of direct contact and adopting the snowball methodology or “Snowball” strategy to contact more respondents. The insertion of the researcher in the daily life of the institution subsidized the observation and interaction to capture unique aspects and intervening factors of reality. Documentary sources are part of the literature review; the school record on personal data of graduates of 11 classes in the time frame between 2009 and 2020; electronic sources for mapping the State of the Art or production of knowledge in the field of education. The Content Analysis (CA) method is the methodological proposal for the treatment of data, allowing to identify what is behind the empirically observed reality, the meaning attributed by the subjects to the addressed themes. In the study, it was observed that the option of the graduates for the Electromechanics course is justified by the search for the quality of the institution's teaching in the region, by indication of family members and/or friends. The difficulty in accessing the work area was evident in practical activities during the course, later, in the search for an internship, mobilizing part of the women for other areas of activity or higher education. The participation of women increases in schooling and occupation of job vacancies, however, women technicians reveal access barriers in the industrial area, demarcating the need for greater valuation in technical courses and in the world of work. The discredit of women in the labor market and the social division of roles between men and women are consequences of a socio-historical process marked by different determinants in each society, and, particularly in Brazil, by the way in which the construction of the country was structured with the influence of the patriarchal system and violent colonization.

Esta investigación analiza las experiencias de mujeres que egresaron del curso técnico de Enseñanza Media Integrada en Electromecánica del Campus Lagarto del Instituto Federal de Sergipe, destacando dificultades y avances en las relaciones de género en la formación profesional y en el mundo del trabajo. La investigación se guía por presupuestos del materialismo histórico-dialéctico, feminista y de género, centrándose en categorías de análisis de género, división sexual del trabajo y formación profesional. Metodológicamente, la investigación presenta un carácter cualitativo, del tipo 'estudio de caso', integrando en el análisis lo general y particular, micro y macro, objetivo y subjetivo, individual y colectivo, comunidad académica, institución, políticas gubernamentales y experiencias de mujeres que egresado del IFS - Campus Lagarto del Curso Técnico Superior Integrado en Electromecánica. Las fuentes orales forman parte de 30 entrevistas semiestructuradas con mujeres egresadas de la carrera técnica en cuestión, consistentes en contacto directo y adoptando la metodología bola de nieve o estrategia “Snowball” para contactar a más informantes. La inserción del investigador en el cotidiano de la institución subsidió la observación y la interacción para captar singularidades y factores intervinientes de la realidad. Las fuentes documentales forman parte de la revisión bibliográfica; el registro escolar sobre datos personales de egresados de 11 promociones en el lapso de tiempo comprendido entre 2009 y 2020; fuentes electrónicas para el mapeo del Estado del Arte o producción de conocimiento en el campo de la educación. El método de Análisis de Contenido (AC) es la propuesta metodológica para el tratamiento de los datos, permitiendo identificar qué hay detrás de la realidad observada empíricamente, el significado atribuido por los sujetos a los temas abordados. En el estudio, se observó que la opción de los egresados por la carrera de Electromecánica se justifica por la búsqueda de la calidad de la enseñanza de la institución en la región, por indicación de familiares y/o amigos. La dificultad de acceso al área de trabajo se evidenció en las actividades prácticas durante el curso, posteriormente, en la búsqueda de una pasantía, movilizando parte de las mujeres para otras áreas de actividad o estudios superiores. La participación de la mujer aumenta en la escolarización y ocupación de puestos de trabajo, sin embargo, las mujeres técnicas revelan barreras de acceso en el área industrial, demarcando la necesidad de una mayor valoración en los cursos técnicos y en el mundo del trabajo. El descrédito de la mujer en el mercado de trabajo y la división social de roles entre hombres y mujeres son consecuencias de un proceso sociohistórico marcado por determinantes diferentes en cada sociedad y, particularmente en Brasil, por la forma en que se construye el país. se estructuró con la influencia del sistema patriarcal y la colonización violenta.A educação profissional nos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia é possibilidade de qualificação para a população. Esta pesquisa analisa as experiências das mulheres egressas do curso técnico de Ensino Médio Integrado em Eletromecânica do Campus Lagarto do Instituto Federal de Sergipe, visibilizando dificuldades e avanços nas relações de gênero na formação profissional e no mundo do trabalho. A investigação orienta-se por pressupostos do materialismo histórico-dialético, teorias feministas e de gênero, focalizando categorias de análise de gênero, divisão sexual do trabalho e educação profissional. Metodologicamente a pesquisa apresenta caráter qualitativo, do tipo ‘estudo de caso’, integrando na análise os aspectos geral e particular, micro e macro, objetivo e subjetivo, individual e coletivo, comunidade acadêmica, instituição, políticas do governo e experiências de mulheres egressas do IFS - Campus de Lagarto do Curso Técnico de Ensino Médio Integrado em Eletromecânica. As fontes orais integram 30 entrevistas semiestruturadas com mulheres egressas do curso técnico em tela, composta por contato direto e adotando-se a metodologia snowball ou estratégia de “Bola de Neve” para a contactar mais respondentes. A inserção da pesquisadora no cotidiano da instituição subsidiou a observação e a interação para captar aspectos singulares e fatores intervenientes da realidade. As fontes documentais integram a revisão da literatura; o registro escolar sobre dados pessoais de egressas de 11 turmas no marco temporal entre 2009 a 2020; fontes eletrônicas para o mapeamento do Estado da Arte ou produção do conhecimento do campo da educação. O método da Análise de Conteúdo (AC) é a proposta metodológica para o tratamento dos dados permitindo identificar o que está por trás da realidade empiricamente observada, o significado atribuído pelos sujeitos aos temas abordados. No estudo foi observado que a opção das egressas pelo curso de Eletromecânica é justificada pela busca da qualidade do ensino da instituição na região, por indicação de familiares e/ou amigos. A dificuldade de acesso à área de trabalho mostrou-se marcada nas atividades práticas ainda durante o curso, posteriormente, na busca por estágio, mobilizando uma parte das mulheres para outras áreas de atuação ou de formação superior. A participação das mulheres amplia-se na escolarização e ocupação de vagas de trabalho, contudo, as mulheres técnicas revelam barreiras de acesso na área da indústria, demarcam necessidade de maior valoração nos cursos técnicos e no mundo do trabalho.
