Reescrita. Prática social. Ensino e aprendizagem. ABSTRACT: This work proposes a pedagogical practice, based on the discussions of the concepts of writing as social practice, writing proficiency and rewriting, trying to inspire teaching proposals that aim at writing as social practice and that seek to provide opportunities for analysis and rewriting of text to promote learning. The participants of the research were 15 Chinese students and myself, as teacher- researcher, in a reading subject in a Portuguese Undergraduate Course in China. The subject had 16 meetings (32 hours), during which the teacher-researcher proposed reading, discussing and writing different discourse genres. Among the activities developed during the semester, the students were assigned three tasks of the Celpe-Bras Exam (integrated reading-to-write tasks), which are the focus of this study. The first version of each text was corrected by a classmate. Then the students rewrote their texts based on the feedback given. The teacher-researcher corrected the second version of the texts and gave the students feedback for their next rewriting. Then the teacher-researcher corrected the third version of the text. To obtain students’ perspectives on their learning regarding writing, interviews were conducted with all participating students. After analyzing and comparing the 135 texts collected, we verified the progress from the rewriting of the texts, in terms of constructing dialogue, use of information and linguistic resources. It is hoped that the present study may contribute to the teaching of writing in Portuguese to Chinese students. KEYWORDS: Writing. Rewriting. Social practice. Teaching and learning. |
