Resumo: This paper discusses medicalization in education. Based on Freudian psychoanalysis, it aims to promote a reflection on the medicalizing strategies of educators regarding a restless student, which occurred during a case study. It starts from the hypothesis that educator’s infantile and body ideas can be linked to a discourse that understands the concern mainly due to a pathology bias and that reduces the understanding of behaviors when using/not using the medication. It presents, as a possible result, the effects on the adult-child relationship that these conceptions have: individualization, reduction of the extended and relational understanding of the issue, pathologization of behavior and non-accountability of the school

Parte da hipótese que tanto o ideário de infantil do adulto educador quanto o de corpo podem estar articulados a um discurso que compreende a inquietude sobretudo por um viés que reduz a compreensão de comportamentos ao uso/não uso do medicamento.
