Resumo: This article deals with an inquiry on philosophical beddings of the Physics Education. From a research on French didactic books of the nineteenth century and the context of its publication it is looked to trace a vision of the ideas that had guided its authors and the construction of a model of scientific education that we will call dogmatic-instrumental view. These ideas had influenced the Brazilian scientific education.
