User profile and research indicators of the Public Archive of Santa Catarina: 2011

Presents the user study of researchers and indicators about research conducted in the Public Archives of Santa Catarina State of - APESC in 2011, in order to contribute to the study of archival area in Brazil. Comments that periodic monitoring users' archives, the number of searched documents in certain funds and measuring the degree of satisfaction of services offered by the institution are important because the information collected, analyzed and interpreted assist in the development of the activities of other Supervisions Archive public and promote the democratization of information sources for other users related areas. Data collection was extracted from the Master File, Registry of Consultation and Research in Quality of Care. Displays the results of the analysis of the type of research, the number of documents searched, the typology documentary federative unit, profession, training and research quality of care. Describes what the researchers are conducting in the Public Archives, as being important for the collection and dissemination of the institution. Considers that the information obtained is important for planning activities for the Archive, especially with regard to the production of research tools, policies of conservation and restoration of documents and improvement in quality of care.
