Resumo: | The article presents part of the ethnographic study on the education of a scientist in a large research laboratory in the field of Parasitology, located in a big university of Southeast region Brazil. With the theoretical and methodological framework of the actors of the Actor–Network Theory (ANT) we investigated the associations between humans and not humans and the performances that configure what is a laboratory, science, and research, as well, as what is necessary to learn to be scientist in this place. In our analysis, we notice that drawers and cabinets, for example, says something about professional career of scientists. In addition, the object of study of the doctoral student that we follow in the laboratory, the ascaris, participates in a division between the internal and external world of the laboratory. Thus, we consider that it is necessary to perceive the productions of realities in the laboratory in the conditions and possibilities in which the scientist lives, considering with whom and with what he/she interacts. |
