Linguistic variation and Spanish Teaching: didactic proposals

Resumo: With this study we aim to present didactic proposals for the Spanish Language, from a variationist perspective, directed to the teaching of the language in Brazil in order to provide subsidies to Spanish teachers in the task of approaching the language in its diversity. For this, a theoretical foundation was sought in the assumptions of Sociolinguistics and, more specifically, of Educational Sociolinguistics (from the works of Bortoni-Ricardo, 2005, 2008) including the proposal of Pedagogy of variation (mainly in the light of studies by Faraco , 2008), first, data from interviews with teachers in the state of Paraná are presented regarding their practice related to the approach to language variation, covering the didactic resources used and, secondly, didactic proposals are presented that include the variation of the Spanish language. The results reveal a positive scenario, since most teachers seek to deal with the varieties of the Spanish Language, which points to the need for adequate teaching materials for this purpose. Therefore, didactic proposals were suggested in order to subsidize the teaching work regarding the treatment of linguistic diversity in Spanish language classes.

Para ello, se buscó un fundamento teórico en los supuestos de la Sociolingüística y, más específicamente, de la Sociolingüística Educativa (a partir de los trabajos de Bortoni-Ricardo, 2005, 2008), incluyendo la propuesta de la Pedagogía de la variación (principalmente a la luz de los estudios de Faraco, 2008), en primer lugar, se presentan datos de entrevistas a profesores del estado de Paraná sobre su práctica relacionada con el abordaje de la variación de la lengua, abarcando los recursos didácticos utilizados y, en segundo lugar, se presentan propuestas didácticas que contemplan la variación de la Lengua Española. Los resultados revelan un escenario positivo, ya que la mayoría de los docentes buscan tratar las variedades de la Lengua Española, lo que apunta a la necesidad de contar con materiales didácticos adecuados para este fin. Por ello, se sugirieron propuestas didácticas con el objetivo de subsidiar la labor docente en lo que respecta al tratamiento de la diversidad lingüística en las clases de Lengua Española.O presente estudo tem como objetivo apresentar propostas didáticas de Língua Espanhola, sob a perspectiva variacionista, direcionadas ao ensino do idioma no Brasil a fim de fornecer subsídios aos professores de Espanhol na tarefa de abordar a língua em sua diversidade. Para isso, buscou-se alicerce teórico nos pressupostos da Sociolinguística e, mais especificamente, da Sociolinguística Educacional (a partir dos trabalhos de Bortoni-Ricardo, 2005, 2008), incluindo a proposta da Pedagogia da variação (principalmente sob a luz dos estudos de Faraco, 2008). Apresentam-se, primeiramente, dados de entrevistas com professores do estado do Paraná a respeito de sua prática relacionada à abordagem da variação da língua, abarcando os recursos didáticos utilizados e, em segundo lugar, apresentam-se propostas didáticas que contemplam a variação da Língua Espanhola. Os resultados revelam um cenário positivo, visto que a maioria dos professores busca tratar as variedades da Língua Espanhola, o que aponta para a necessidade de materiais didáticos adequados a este fim.
