Resumo: | The aim of this paper was to specify elements that can be observed in peripheral deaf poetry, which sign important directions for language policies aimed at deaf communities. For this, we analyzed two texts produced by Edinho Poesia, which focus on the role and relevance of these policies, their legal status and their asymmetrical relationship with the Portuguese language, with regard to the order of access to public goods and services. Literature can be used as a political and tensioning instrument for human rights. Thus, the reflections of Campello and Rezende (2014), Fernandes (2011), Ladd (2013) and Sutton-Spence (2020), in dialogue with the analyzed poetry, point to issues such as: the non-recognition of deaf citizenship through access to the Brazilian Sign Language; Portuguese as a language of greater prestige and legal constitutionality, and the urgency of preserving and encouraging the registration of a deaf memory, through collections in Libras. |

Para esto, fueron analizados dos textos producidos por Edinho Poesia, que se focalizan en el papel y la relevancia de estas políticas, su estatuto jurídico y su relación asimétrica con la lengua portuguesa, en cuanto al orden de acceso a los bienes y a los servicios públicos. La literatura puede ser utilizada como instrumento político y de tensión de los derechos humanos. Así, las reflexiones de Campello y Rezende (2014), Fernandes (2011), Ladd (2013) y Sutton-Spence (2020), en diálogo con las poesías analizadas, apuntan a cuestiones como: el no reconocimiento de la ciudadanía sorda por el acceso a la Lengua Brasileña de Señales (Libras); el portugués como lengua de mayor prestigio; la constitucionalidad jurídica y la urgencia de preservar y fomentar el registro de una memoria sorda, por medio de acervos en Libras.O objetivo deste artigo foi especificar elementos que podem ser observados na poesia surda periférica, os quais sinalizam direcionamentos importantes para políticas linguísticas voltadas às comunidades surdas. Para isso, foram analisados dois textos produzidos por Edinho Poesia, os quais focalizam o papel e a relevância dessas políticas, seu estatuto jurídico e sua relação assimétrica com a Língua Portuguesa, no que tange à ordem do acesso aos bens e aos serviços públicos. A literatura pode ser utilizada como instrumento político e de tensionamento dos direitos humanos.
