Resumo: The present work analyzes the appropriation made by the game Child of Light of the traditional narratives of passage into adulthood in its metaphorical and transmedia character. The game's narrative, presented in verse, encompasses some fairy tales, mainly Sleeping Beauty; both the name of the main character, Aurora, and her initial condition in the game, that of being in a deep sleep, remind us of the children's classic. Therefore, for the proposed investigation, we intend to identify and analyze the specific characteristics of fairy tale and videogame genres, as well as analyze their narrative structure, themes, and elements that contribute to the reader-work interaction in both genres, namely: the textual and paratextual elements in fairy tales and those related to videogame gameplay. We also intend to compare the narratives, analyzing the presence of intertextuality. As the primary theoretical basis of this research, we highlight the studies on children's literature by Peter Hunt, the studies on the structure of fairy tales by Vladimir Propp, the studies on digital games by Juul, Murray, and Ryan.
