Knowledge management and social capital in the university. The case of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana

Resumo: | Objective: The objetive of the current study is propose the kowledge management proccess at Faculty of Communication at University of Havana, based on the potential of its social capital. This in order to enhance the actions of creation and dissemination of knowledge in the Faculty and in conjunction with other entities, as well as its use and exploitation.Method: The research is descriptive-analytical with a mixed approach. Content analysis and methodological triangulation were developed as a method of analyzing the data obtained through the survey, the interview and the discussion group. The SWOT matrix was used as auxiliary tool for the diagnostic and organization of results.Result: The proposal of the knowledge management was achieved, based on the strategic planning. The work actions were drawn and were oriented to relate the general processes of the entity through organizational knowledge and the elements of social capital identified.Conclusions: The knowledge management is relevance in the context studied and the need to enhance social capital that mediates the exchange of knowledge in organizational processes. First proposal of knowledge management based on its social capital. Pioneer research in the cuban context where the two analysis variables are related in the university context. |

Esto con el fin de fomentar las acciones de creación y difusión del conocimiento en la Facultad y en conjunto con otras entidades, así como su uso y aprovechamiento.Método: La investigación es de tipo descriptiva-analítica con un enfoque mixto. Se desarrolló el análisis de contenido y la triangulación metodológica como método de análisis de los datos obtenidos por medio de la encuesta, la entrevista y el grupo de discusión. Se utilizó la matriz DAFO como herramienta auxiliar para el diagnóstico y organización de los resultados.Resultado: Se logró concretar una propuesta de gestión del conocimiento sustentado en la planificación estratégica, trazándose acciones de trabajo orientadas a relacionar los procesos generales de la entidad por medio del conocimiento organizacional y los elementos del capital social identificados.Conclusiones: La gestión del conocimiento es relevante en el contexto estudiado y la necesidad de potenciar un capital social que medie el intercambio de conocimiento en los procesos organizacionales. Primera propuesta de gestión del conocimiento sustentada en su capital social. Investigación pionera en el contexto cubano donde se relacionan las dos variables de análisis en el contexto universitario.Objetivo: o objetivo deste estudo é propor o processo de gestão do conhecimento na Faculdade de Comunicação da Universidade de Havana, a partir das potencialidades de seu capital social. Esta com o objetivo de promover as ações de criação e divulgação de conhecimento na Faculdade e em articulação com outras entidades, bem como a sua utilização e exploração.Método: a pesquisa é descritiva-analítica com abordagem mista. A análise de conteúdo e a triangulação metodológica foram desenvolvidas como método de análise dos dados obtidos por meio da pesquisa, da entrevista e do grupo de discussão. A matriz SWOT foi utilizada como ferramenta auxiliar para o diagnóstico e organização dos resultados.Resultado: foi finalizada uma proposta de gestão do conhecimento com base no planejamento estratégico, traçando ações de trabalho que visam relacionar os processos gerais da entidade através do conhecimento organizacional e os elementos de capital social identificados.Conclusões: A gestão do conhecimento é relevante no contexto estudado e na necessidade de promoção de capital social que media a troca de conhecimento nos processos organizacionais. Primeira proposta de gestão do conhecimento baseada em seu capital social.
