Gender in the curriculum of undergraduate and bachelor's degree in Physical Education at the universities of Minas Gerais

In this research, the main goal was analyze whether the curricular proposals of the Licentiate and bachelor’s in Physical Education(PE) of public universities in Minas Gerais state that work with gender issues in their synopsis. Using documentary sources, in a quantitative and qualitative study, we searched for the descriptor “gender” in the synopsis and in the names of the subjects. Our results showed a lack of thematic curriculum, a foul on the theme in the subjects directed to sport, being a positive finding in the fact of the leisure disciplines discuss about gender. We concluded that it would be interesting to carry out more research like these in other Brazilian territories to expand the vision of Physical Education in the national scenario. We also point to the urgent demand that must be given to gender issues in society to reduce not only gender oppression, but also all others that surround them.
