Resumo: This essay aims to reflect about some aspects related to the inclusion, legitimacy and teaching practice of physical education in the Children education. Discussions are developed considering elements that contribute to the process of reflection about the area and the collaboration possibilities for the qualification of pedagogical practices in children education. To this end, it presents some elements that could justify the relevance of the interventions with the training and the expertise of Physical Education. Also presents some specific methodological theoretical subsidies about the intervention of Physical Education in children education.

Los debates se desarrollan teniendo en cuenta elementos que contribuyen al proceso de reflexión sobre las posibilidades de colaboración de la educación física para la calificación de las prácticas pedagógicas en la educación de los niños. Con este fin, se presentan algunos elementos que podrían justificar la pertinencia de las intervenciones con la formación y la experiencia de la Educación Física. También presenta algunos subsidios teóricos metodológicos específicos sobre la intervención de la Educación Física en la educación de la infancia.O presente ensaio tem como objetivo refletir sobre alguns aspectos referentes à inserção, legitimidade e prática pedagógica da Educação Física na esfera da educação de zero a cinco anos. As discussões são desenvolvidas levando em consideração elementos que contribuam para o processo de reflexão sobre as possibilidades de colaboração da área para a qualificação das práticas pedagógicas no âmbito da educação infantil. Para tal, são apresentados alguns elementos que possam justificar a relevância das intervenções a partir do olhar, da formação e dos conhecimentos específicos da Educação Física.
