Resumo: | The present study consists of a theoretical essay that presents the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC) as a document capable of enabling a curricular tradition for School Physical Education. To this end, he resorts to the philosophical discussion of González and Fensterseifer regarding the republican and democratic characteristic of the school. Finally, we seek to highlight the positive aspects of implementing a common national curriculum and how it can contribute to the legitimation of Physical Education as a necessary curricular component for the republican school. |

El presente estudio consiste en un ensayo teórico que presenta el Currículo Nacional Base Común (BNCC)como un documento capaz de permitir una tradición curricular para la Educación Física Escolar. Para este fin, recurre a la discusión filosófica de González y Fensterseifer sobre la característica republicana y democrática de la escuela. Finalmente, buscamos resaltar los aspectos positivos de la implementación de un currículo nacional común y cómo puede contribuir a la legitimación de la Educación Física como un componente curricular necesario para la escuela republicana. O presente estudo consiste em um ensaio teórico que apresenta a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) como um documento capaz de possibilitar uma tradição curricular para a Educação Física Escolar. Para isso, recorre a discussão filosófica de González e Fensterseifer a respeito da característica republicana e democrática da escola.
