Resumo: | The present work deals with an investigation of the relations between neoliberalism, the State of Exception and social control in contemporary Brazil. Thus, the problem that moves this article arises: in the face of elements of exception and neoliberalism, can it be said that social control is already a myth, a mere empty idea of meaning? The hypothesis is that yes, it is already possible to talk about the decay of social control, mainly through one of its main mechanisms, access to information. The working method is the hypothetical deductive, testing the hypothesis based on the arguments developed. |

The working method is the hypothetical deductive, testing the hypothesis based on the arguments developed.O presente trabalho faz uma investigação das relações entre neoliberalismo, Estado de Exceção e controle social na contemporaneidade do Brasil. Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina2020-04-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/sequencia/article/view/2177-7055.2020v43n84p18310.5007/2177-7055.2020v43n84p183Seqüência - Legal and Political Studies; Vol. 41 No. 84 (2020); 183-208Revista Seqüência: Estudos Jurídicos e Políticos; Vol. 41 Núm. 84 (2020); 183-208Seqüência Estudos Jurídicos e Políticos; v. 41 n. 84 (2020); 183-2082177-70550101-9562reponame:Sequência (Florianópolis.
