Rights and interdisciplinarity in the work field of social assistance

Resumo: The article is the result of the discussions, in spaces of production of knowledge, on two researches that have in common the themes of interdisciplinarity, human rights and assistance. One was carried out with workers in the field of legal assistance and the other with social assistance users. Both used the intervention research as a methodological strategy. From the discussions between the two fields it was possible to see that interdisciplinary work is an important tool in the defense of rights in the social assistance area and that the suspension of disciplinary boundaries, openness to otherness, reflection on one's practices and education are fundamental in this process.

Uma delas foi realizada com trabalhadores no campo da assistência jurídica e a outra com usuários da assistência social. Ambas utilizaram a pesquisa intervenção como estratégica metodológica.
