Resumo: This study appeared on the context of Supervised Teaching Practice as part of the Master degree on Pre-school Education at School of Education and Social Sciences – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal), in the academic year of 2012/2013. Following a qualitative investigation perspective, the objective was to evaluate the role of the objects of transition on the moment of the nap, for three children with ages between 1 and 2 years old on a daycare context. Identifying the objects of transition from the children A, B and X, observed the moment when they fell asleep and the interaction of them with the object/objects. Data was obtained through observation, allowing us to infer that these objects transmitted the child security and comfort, making the process of nap more easy and quiet.

Seguindo uma perspetiva qualitativa de investigação, procurámos avaliar o papel dos objetos de transição, no momento da sesta, para três crianças de 1 e 2 anos de idade, em contexto de creche. Identificando os objetos de transição das crianças A, B e X, observámos o seu momento de adormecer durante a sesta e a interação de cada criança com o(s) seus(s) objeto(s).
