Resumo: This article analyzes the repercussion of the COVID-19 pandemic in the living conditions of families with babies and children of Early Childhood Education in Bahian territories. The study carried through the analysis of actions and mobilizations within the scope of the Early Childhood Education policy, children's narratives, questionnaires and interviews with families, covers dimensions that make it possible to think about changes in family conditions and their impacts on children's experiences: the socioeconomic situation, the configuration of home care routines and practices and the nature of the activities carried out with the children. We conclude that the pandemic represents a crisis in the care of children. This crisis is a risk to human cultural development in the face of fragmented policies between the areas of education, social, cultural, legal and health care.

O estudo realizado por meio da análise das ações e mobilizações no âmbito da política de Educação Infantil, narrativas das crianças, questionários e entrevistas com famílias, abrange dimensões que possibilitam pensar mudanças nas condições familiares e seus impactos nas experiências das crianças: a situação socioeconômica, a configuração das rotinas e práticas de cuidado em casa e a natureza das atividades realizadas com as crianças. Conclui-se que a pandemia representa uma crise do cuidado das crianças.
