Resumo: teacher Dr. Zoia Prestes defines herself as a teacher and researcher in the field of Education. He spent part of his childhood and youth in the Soviet Union, a period in which Brazil was under the military regime, established with the coup d'état in 1964. At the age of 7 he had to go into exile in the Soviet Union with his parents, Luiz Carlos Prestes and Maria Prestes. During the fifteen years she was there, she experienced her immersion in Russian culture and language. She was literate in Russian, graduated and became a Master of Science in Education from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Preschool Psychology of the Lenin State University of Pedagogy in Moscow. She returned to Brazil in 1985 and, having not had her diploma recognized for more than 15 years, she dedicated herself to the translation of technical texts, lectures at events and Russian literary works. She holds a PhD in Education from the University of Brasília, where she investigated, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Elizabeth Tunes, the translation activity in relation to the translations of works by Lev Semionovitch Vygotsky in Brazil. His Post-Doctorate was carried out at the Belarus M. Tank State University of Pedagogy (Minsk) and at the Moscow University (Moscow) in the field of Education. She is currently a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Education of the Fluminense Federal University. She is a scholar of the Soviet author L. S. Vygotsky, one of the creators of cultural-historical theory and recognized for his studies and research in the area of ??Psychology and Education. She is the leader of the Research Group Nucleus for Translation, Studies and Interpretation of the works of representatives of Cultural-Historical Theory. teacher Dr. Zoia Prestes has published several academic articles, given numerous lectures and translated and organized books with works by L. S. Vygotsky from Russian into Portuguese. We highlight three recently translated and published works by Vygotsky: Psicologia, Educação e Desenvolvimento (Editora Expressão Popular, 2021), 7 Aulas de L. S. Vigotski sobre Fundamentos da Pedologia (Editora E-papers, 2018), which is the first translation of the text into another Language and Imagination and Creation in Childhood (Editora Expressão Popular, 2018).

Viveu parte de sua infância e juventude na União Soviética, período em que o Brasil vivia sob o regime militar, instaurado com o golpe de Estado em 1964. Aos 7 anos de idade teve de se exilar na União Soviética com seus pais, Luiz Carlos Prestes e Maria Prestes. Durante os quinze anos em que esteve lá, vivenciou sua imersão na cultura e na língua russa. Foi alfabetizada em russo, graduou-se e se tornou mestre em Ciências da Educação pela Faculdade de Pedagogia e Psicologia Pré-Escolar da Universidade Estatal Lenin de Pedagogia de Moscou. Retornou ao Brasil em 1985 e, por não ter o diploma reconhecido por mais de 15 anos, dedicou-se à tradução de textos técnicos, de palestras em eventos e de obras literárias russas. É doutora em Educação pela Universidade de Brasília, em que investigou, sob a orientação da Professora Dra. Elizabeth Tunes, a atividade da tradução em relação às traduções de obras de Lev Semionovitch Vigotski no Brasil. Seu Pós-Doutorado foi realizado na Universidade Estadual de Pedagogia da Belarus M. Tank (Minsk) e na Universidade de Moscou (Moscou) na área de Educação. Atualmente integra o corpo docente da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Estudiosa do autor soviético L. S. Vigotski, um dos idealizadores da teoria histórico-cultural e reconhecido por seus estudos e pesquisas na área da Psicologia e da Educação. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Núcleo de Tradução, Estudos e Interpretação das obras dos representantes da Teoria histórico-cultural. Profa. Dra. Zoia Prestes publicou diversos artigos acadêmicos, proferiu inúmeras conferências e traduziu e organizou do russo para o português livros com obras de L. S. Vigotski.
