Resumo: | In June 2006, the President of the Republic of Brazil signed Decree No. 5.820 on the guidelines for the implementation of the digital broadcasting system for image and sound, that is, the new system of open television, now digital. In this decree, the government also related the possibilities of the system, pointing to interactivity as one of the resources to be developed by the television medium. The objective of this work is, therefore, to describe and analyze technologically the first television program, the 2010 World Cup, which made the Brazilian population interactive using the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial Television System, SBTVD-T, to verify the interactive possibilities used by the issuer from the technical configuration of the equipment involved in the transmission of the new signal. |

Neste decreto, o governo relacionou também quais as possibilidades do sistema, apontando a interatividade como um dos recursos a ser desenvolvido pelo meio televisivo.
