TEACHING ANIMATION SCREENWRITING: CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES IN TEACHING PRACTICE

Resumo: This article investigates screewriting teaching practices in undergraduate Animation courses. The objective of the research was to identify the challenges that teachers face when confronted with the specific processes of making animations and which strategies they adopt in the classroom. For this, comprehensive interviews were conducted with professors who work in baccalaureate courses offered by federal institutions of Higher Education in Brazil. The data obtained show the teachers’ search for integrating audiovisual dramaturgy into other areas of the arts and communication; for privileging the procedural character of script development; and for favoring the collaborative construction of knowledge with students.

El objetivo de la investigación fue identificar los desafíos que enfrentan los profesores en los procesos específicos de creación de animaciones y qué estrategias adoptan en el aula. Para ello, se realizaron entrevistas comprensivas a profesores que actúan en carreras de licenciatura ofrecidas por instituciones federales de educación superior en Brasil. Los datos resaltan la búsqueda de los docentes por integrar la dramaturgia audiovisual con otras áreas de las artes y la comunicación; privilegiar la naturaleza procesal del desarrollo del guión; y fomentar la construcción colaborativa del conocimiento con los estudiantes.O presente artigo investiga práticas de ensino de roteiro em cursos de graduação em Animação.
