Resumo: | This paper aims at discussing, from a theoretical and empirical perspective, the ways through which autobiographical memories become customizable on Facebook considering two main interferences acting in this process: on one side, the devices that allow self-narratives to circulate and to be recycled, and on the other, each user-narrator´s edition actions conducted among his/hers autobiographical archive on the platform. The idea of performative ruptures proposed by Polivanov and Carreira (2019) is used to think about the complex relation between self-narratives, time and autobiographical memory. |
