Educational video in pre-transplant phase of hematopoietic stem cells

Resumo: Aim: to evaluate the quality of educational video presented in the pretransplant stage of hematopoietic stem cell from the perception of transplanted patients. Method: evaluative research, approved by the Ethics Committee, conducted with 31 transplanted patients, from March to August2014, inan oncological institution of Santa Catarina/Brazil. A data collection questionnaire that investigated social data of participants and that collected evaluations about the educational video produced and implemented was applied. The findings were submitted to descriptive statistics, in Excel® Program/Microsoft, version 2007. Results: Most of the patients (90.3%) considered the content of presentation adequate ; 58.1% did not indicate any exclusion; 80.6% considered the video time adequate. The main suggestion to improve the educational videos was to include post-transplant reactions. Conclusion: The transplanted patients evaluated that the video has contributed to the learning and the reduction of anxiety.

Metodo: investigación evaluativa, aprobado por Comité de Ética, llevó a cabo 31 trasplantados, entre marzoy agosto de2014, en institución oncológica de Santa Catarina/Brasil. Para la recolección de datosse aplicó cuestionario que investigó los datos sociales de los participantes y de evaluación sobre el vídeo educativo producido y aplicado. Los resultados fueron sometidos a la estadística descriptiva, en Programa Excel®/Microsoft, versión 2007.Resultados: 90,3% de los participantes considera apropiada la presentación de los contenidos; 58.1% no indicó ninguna exclusión; 80,6% considera el tiempo de vídeo apropiado. La principal sugerencia para la segunda enseñanza del video fue la inclusión de las reaccionespos-trasplante. Conclusión: Los trasplantados evaluaron que el vídeo viene contribuyendo al aprendizaje y la reducción de la ansiedad.Objetivo: avaliar a qualidade de vídeo educativo apresentado na fase pré-transplante de células-tronco hematopoiéticas na percepção dos transplantados. Aplicou-se um questionário que investigou dados sociais dos participantes e avaliativos sobre o vídeo educativo produzido e implementado. Os achados foram submetidos à estatística descritiva, no Programa Excel®/Microsoft, versão 2007. Resultados: 90,3% dos participantes consideraram adequada a forma de apresentação dos conteúdos; 58,1% não indicaram qualquer exclusão; 80,6% consideraram o tempo do vídeo adequado. A principal sugestão para melhorias no vídeo educativo foi a inclusão das reações pós-transplante.
