Resumo: In texts’ reading (literaries or not) two types of structures can be distinguished: a superficial and a deep one. There is a proportional relationship between them: when we unite words’ meanings, we can compose the text’s signification. However, it shocks in human capacity to feel, to store and to process information, producing other information and therefore new significations. In this essay we intent to define a philosophical perception of the comprehension. According to Hannah Arendt, the comprehension is an interminable process for human apprenticeship in reconciling with the reality, trying to feel the world and its vicissitudes as home.

A princípio há uma relação diretamente proporcional entre os dois tipos se considerarmos que, ao associar os significados das palavras, podemos, por somatório, compor o sentido do todo do texto. No entanto, esbarramos em algo: a capacidade humana de intuir, armazenar e (re) processar informações, produzindo outras informações e, por conseguinte, novos sentidos. Neste ensaio, pretendemos deslindar uma percepção filosófica da compreensão.
